What This Reference Design Is
One map for indoors and outdoors. Battery beacons give the position inside a building. Outside, the tracker's own satellite fix takes over.
Data comes back over LoRaWAN, so a tag runs for months on one charge and the site needs no cabling.
A web dashboard shows the trail and lets you draw fences that alarm on entry or exit. Every update is pushed to your own system too.
Limits: indoor accuracy is room level, not shelf level. It follows beacon density and floor-plan georeferencing, and the indoor-outdoor handover shows a jump.
Uplinks travel over LoRaWAN, so updates arrive minutes apart. This is not a safety-certified system.
